Picasso insólito (NO-DO) 1978
A peculiar look at the life and work of Pablo Picasso based on little paintings by the artist Manuel Blasco Alarcón reflecting the life of the artist from Malaga. In the film, Blasco Alarcón comments on the illustrations to the sound of jocular music. According to the author’s theory, given that Picasso largely took inspiration from his lovers to paint, he may even have gone as far as to say that he painted with his sexual organ. Although given absolutely no credibility, many critics believe that it is a theory which must not be rejected. On the subject of Picasso insólito, it has been said that this work is very similar to one of Mercero’s early works, Lección de arte.
